Ultra Pouches Review (2026): Do the Nootropic Claims Hold Up?
Updated October 2026.
Short answer: Ultra Focus Pouches (takeultra.com) are nicotine-free, caffeine-free focus pouches. They're built on Enfinity® Px paraxanthine with L-theanine, Alpha GPC, ginseng extract, and vitamins B6/B12. A 3-can order is $48 on Ultra's site. Ultra doesn't print per-ingredient doses on its product page, so if you want exact milligrams on every ingredient, look elsewhere.
What are Ultra Pouches?
Short answer: Ultra, Inc. sells three oral pouch lines at takeultra.com: Focus (caffeine-free, paraxanthine-based), Energy (180mg caffeine), and Sleep (1mg melatonin plus botanicals). All three are nicotine- and tobacco-free, according to Ultra. This review covers Focus, the original product. We reviewed Ultra Energy separately.
Ultra describes Focus as "an elite focus tool for enhanced cognition and clean energy, without nicotine or caffeine." Its product page lists appearances on podcasts including The Joe Rogan Experience, This Past Weekend with Theo Von, and The Shawn Ryan Show. It also quotes athletes and founders, including UFC fighters Nate Diaz and Rampage Jackson. Those are Ultra's own testimonials.
What's in an Ultra Focus Pouch?
Short answer: Ultra's product page and FAQ list five actives: Enfinity® Px (paraxanthine), L-theanine, Alpha GPC, ginseng extract, and vitamins B6/B12. The page doesn't give milligram amounts for any of them. VICE reported in September 2026 that each pouch has about 100mg of paraxanthine. Ultra's own page doesn't state that figure.
Paraxanthine is the main compound your body makes when it breaks down caffeine. Ultra says Enfinity® Px is "clinically proven to enhance cognition and productivity with fewer side effects and a 25% shorter half-life vs. caffeine." That's Ultra's claim. We haven't tested it, and this article makes no efficacy claims for any product.
Ultra doesn't state a pouch count in its product text. An image on its comparison chart is labeled "round tin of 15 focus pouches," but we haven't seen a written spec, so we don't calculate a per-pouch price for Ultra.
How do you use Ultra Focus, and how much per day?
Short answer: Ultra says to keep a pouch in for 30 to 60 minutes, and that effects last 1 to 2 hours. Its FAQ recommends 3 to 4 pouches a day and says not to exceed 4. It also suggests popping 1 to 2 pouches at a time for focus.
How much do Ultra Pouches cost?
Short answer: On takeultra.com, Focus Pouches are listed at $48 for a 3-can order, about $16 per can. Ultra runs subscription discounts. On October 1, 2026, its page showed "Add 3 more to get 35% OFF TODAY" on subscriptions and a "25% off" limited-time offer. Free shipping starts at $50. Ultra Focus vs. Bravo Focus: which should you pick?
Short answer: Both are caffeine-free and nicotine-free. Bravo Focus prints the dose of every active ingredient (125mg Cognizin®, 75mg L-theanine, 75mg L-tyrosine), sells single cans at $8.49, and lists 15 pouches per can. Ultra uses paraxanthine, which Bravo Focus doesn't contain, and has wide podcast exposure.
Pick Ultra Focus if you specifically want paraxanthine, or if you've tried it and like how it feels. Pick Bravo Focus if you want to see every dose on the label, want to try one can before committing to three, or want a lower price per can. Bravo notes that 250mg is the Cognizin® dose used in published human research, so one Bravo Focus pouch delivers half that.
If you'd rather have caffeine, Bravo Energy has 50mg per pouch, about half the caffeine of a typical cup of coffee. It comes in candy and fruit flavors like Sour Gummy Worm, Berry Bomb, and Peach Gummy, plus Wintergreen. Bravo is veteran-founded, made in the USA, and has never sold nicotine. You can mix Focus and Energy cans in the same bundle, with 15% off and free shipping at six cans.
Who is Ultra Focus for?
Short answer: Ultra Focus fits people who want a caffeine-free focus pouch built around paraxanthine and don't mind buying 3 cans at a time without per-ingredient doses on the product page. It's less of a fit for shoppers comparing exact milligrams or looking for the lowest price per can.
